英语句子` 有错么？

the scene on the both sides were very wonderful
原意；两岸的景色都很美丽。

some people went for a walk along the river
原意； 一些人沿着江边散步

我认为
第一句 The scenes on both sides of the river were wonderful.

为什么：两岸是复数，所以景色也要复数。我觉得加上 the river 句子表达的更清楚，是在河岸两边。wonderful 本来就是美好的意思，还加上那个一个very，就画蛇添足了。

第二句，没有错。

第一个对
第二个有些别扭some people went along the river for a walk。这样就通顺多了
